Perfect resizing in versions 1.8.x.x

One of major goals for GoodPoint Software is to eliminate all challenges for end-users to design their Intranet Home pages with our Add-Ins.

In Add-In versions 1.8.0.0 and above, we created a perfect resizing system that can be universal for any cases.

No matter, if you add our webparts to left/right webpart zone that often have fixed width, or you use Add-In in central webpart zone, where width is usually dynamic based on user screen resolution.
Our Add-Ins will be automatically resized to meet your needs.

Same for Height - all Add-In resize themselves to show all content inside.

Moreover, these resizing behavior is now highly customizable.

Please do not use out-of-the box "Width" and "Height" properties of AppParts anymore.

Instead, GoodPoint Apparts have smart positioning that you can configure in "Add-In Positioning" section of Appart properties.

By default, AppPart uses all webpart zone width and uses as much height as it needs to render all the content, resizing happens automatically.

However, you can overwrite these settings:

Auto Adjust Width  -   Enables Automatic Width resizing. Enabled by default. Without this checkbox, all properties that are related to width-changing make no effect.

Auto Adjust Height  -   Enables Automatic Height resizing. Enabled by default. Without this checkbox, all properties that are related to height-changing make no effect.

Minimum Width in pixels  -   Sets the minimum width of the AppPart. Zero for no minimum.

Minimum Height in pixels  -   Sets the minimum height of the AppPart. Zero for no minimum.

Maximum Width in pixels  -   Sets the maximum width of the AppPart. Zero for no maximum up to all webpart zone width.

Maximum Height in pixels  -   Sets the maximum height of the AppPart. Zero for no maximum up to content height.

Vertical Position  -   Sets the vertical alignment of content. It makes sense when fixed overall size of AppPart is bigger than size of rendered content. Default value - top. Can be aligned by bottom.

Scrolling  -   Controls if scrolling should be displayed when it is necessary (When content is bigger than available size of AppPart). By default hidden. Can be shown.

The big number of Office Store Add-Ins do not have a good resizing system. This set of features distinguishes GoodPoint Software from most of Office Store publishers.

We hope these changes will make our SharePoint Add-Ins truly universal.
